On Tuesday, January 12 a massive earthquake shook the capital city of Haiti.

The mission supported by Cayuga Christian Church is Northwest Haiti Christian Mission.
Their campus is located 100 miles north of the city of Port-au-Prince.  The  mission itself
felt the quake but received only minor damage.  The city where the earthquake was
centered has been decimated.  The 3rd world conditions of Haiti were difficult enough
without the effects of this disaster.  Food, fuel, medicine, and many other essential
products all funnel through Port-au-Prince.  With the destruction of the city the entire
country of Haiti will be crippled.

The website for Northwest Haiti Christian Mission has been continuing to post updates
about the earthquake and the response.
